The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Central Hamilton County in eastern New York...
  East central Herkimer County in eastern New York...

* Until 415 PM EDT.

* At 324 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Limekiln Lake
  Campground, or 8 miles southeast of Old Forge, moving east at 40
  mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Indian Lake, Speculator, Old Forge, Inlet, Eighth Lake Campground,
  Lewey Lake Campground, Limekiln Lake Campground, Nicks Lake
  Campground, Alger Island Public Campground, Perkins Clearing, West
  Canada Lakes, Thendara, First Lake, Caswell Lake, Sabael, Sled
  Harbor, Sagamore, Mountain Lodge, Sagamore Lake, and Kamp Kill
  Kare.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
