...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING TO EARLY
SUNDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Black River near Galesville.

* WHEN...From Wednesday morning to early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Flooding mainly impacts wildlands and
  agricultural pasture land. The approaches on both ends of the
  County Road VV bridge over the Black River in Jackson County may
  begin to flood and the bridge gates may be closed.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 8.9 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow morning to a crest of 13.9 feet Thursday evening. It
    will then fall below flood stage early Saturday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    13.9 feet on 04/05/1982.

* WHEN...Until late Thursday evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 52.5 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 43.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday was 52.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 54.2
    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
    flood stage late Thursday morning.
  - Flood stage is 47.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    55.6 feet on 06/27/1998.
