The storms should clear eastern Pennsylvania by late morning, leaving a lull in the action before a second round of storms initiates over northwestern Pennsylvania later today. Severe weather will be possible across parts of western Pennsylvania late this afternoon and this evening as storms tap into increasing instability as well as strengthening winds aloft. Thunderstorm winds may bring down trees and powerlines resulting in power outages. Today and Thursday will be the warmest days of the week with highs ranging from the mid 70s in the north to the mid and upper 80s in the south. Philadelphia may even crack 90 degrees. Overnight lows will be mainly in the upper 50s to mid 60s. We will say goodbye to the warmth for a while come Sunday after a strong cold front knocks temperatures back to near the freezing mark for the start of next week. $$
