...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 AM EDT EARLY THIS
MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Michigan, including the following
  counties, Genesee and Saginaw.

* WHEN...Until 315 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 206 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to a quarter of an inch are
    expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
    minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Saginaw, Frankenmuth, Clio, Chesaning, St. Charles, Birch
    Run, Zilwaukee, Montrose, Merrill, Bridgeport, Marion
    Springs, Carrollton, Nelson, Swan Creek, Brant, Garfield,
    Arthur, Burt, Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge and
    Shields.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
