...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 AM EDT
FOR MONROE AND CENTRAL WAYNE COUNTIES...

At 223 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Grosse Pointe to near Grosse Ile to near
Temperance, moving east at 65 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

These severe thunderstorms will remain over eastern portions of
Monroe and central Wayne Counties, including the following
locations... Newport, Melvindale, Gibraltar, Erie, Woodland Beach,
Stony Point, Bolles Harbor, Rockwood, Samaria, and Harper Woods.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 AM EDT for southeastern
Michigan.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
