...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occuring

* WHERE...A portion of west central Michigan, including the
  following counties, Newaygo and Oceana.

* WHEN...Until 230 PM EDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become
  impassable. River or stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 630 AM EDT, Radar and automated rain gauges indicated
    heavy rain. Minor flooding is already occurring in the
    advisory area.
  - Flooding is occuring on Luce road between 24th and 32nd and
    along Adams street between Fitzgerald and Comstock road near
    Hesperia.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    White Cloud, Fremont, Hesperia, Wooster, Reeman and St.
    Huberts.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
