South to southeasterly flow will remain prevalent across the region throughout the week with wind speeds in the 10-15 mph range during peak afternoon hours. Moisture levels will remain largely unchanged with Min RH values in the 40s across inland areas and closer to the low 50s near the coast. Critical fire weather concerns will be limited due to these moisture levels. The lack of stagnant nighttime air and daytime warmth should mitigate development of dense fog in most places, but there will be chances for light to moderate fog particularly inland each morning this week. ...REMARKS... 1. Challenging fog forecast as similar conditions to last night appear probable, meaning decent chance that fog develops near the river drainage basins. This wildfire is very near Tchoutacabouffa River basin via the Costapia Bayou. Uncertainty exists in terms of how far out from the River and Bayou that dense fog spreads and it that reaches Shady Pine area. If had to go one way or the other, think that its more likely than not that fog will impact the fire location at some point tonight. 2. 0% chance of RH dropping below 28% 3. Winds will become light and variable this evening and overnight. Expect that to result in wind direction commonly shifting drastically through the night.
