At 434 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a gust front and an area of
strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots
and small hail. The gust front and storms were located along a line
extending from near Ohare Airport to near Aurora to 24 nm southwest
of Joliet, moving northeast at 50 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.

The gust front and storms will likely produce winds to around 30
knots, and could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A special marine
warning may eventually be required if storms continue to intensify
as they approach the nearshore waters. Boaters should consider
heading for shore before these strong thunderstorms arrives.
