Winds at the site remain out of a westerly direction as the Gulf breeze has made it to the fire site. By 9pm-11pm, winds will veer back to an easterly direction while remaining light in the 5-10 mph range. The mixing height will decrease over the next several hours which may result in the smoke from the Newman fire lofting closer to the ground as light easterly winds persist through daybreak. Relative humidity values will continue to increase in value, reaching 80 to 90% by daybreak.
