.DISCUSSION...Breezy west to northwest winds with gusts around 25
mph are expected for the next few hours, then shifting to
southwest after 1800 local this evening. A change to an active
pattern arrives during the day Wednesday with scattered rain and
snow showers in the morning, then changing to all snow in the
evening with a frontal passage. Strong gusty winds will develop
with the frontal passage as well, with the strongest winds along
and behind the front from 1600 to 2100 local. Southwest wind gusts
between 35-45 mph are expected, with a 30 percent probability
gusts will exceed 50 mph. 24hr precipitation totals ending
Thursday morning will be 0.10" on the low-end and 0.50" on the
high end, with 2 to 4 inches of snow.
