...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON
TO 5 AM PDT THURSDAY ABOVE 2500 FT...

* WHAT...Heavy snow above 2500 ft. Total snow accumulations between
  12 to 22 inches. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...South Washington Cascades and the Northern and Central
  Cascades of Oregon.

* WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 5 AM PDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Latest guidance suggests the heaviest snow
  accumulations are forecast over the Cascades from Marion to Lane
  Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Consider postponing travel until weather conditions improve.

If you must travel, be sure to slow down and allow extra time.

If your car becomes trapped in deep snow, be sure to keep your car
off to stay safe from potential carbon monoxide poisoning.

Be aware that walking surfaces may be slick. Walk with extra care.

Backcountry recreation is not advised.

WEDNESDAY ABOVE 1500 FT...

* WHAT...Snow expected above 1500 ft. Total snow accumulations 1 to
  4 inches. Highest accumulations above 1500 ft. Winds gusting as
  high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Clackamas County Cascade Foothills.

* WHEN...From 3 AM to 11 AM PDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...1 to 4 inches for elevations above 1500 ft,
  including Mt. Hood Village and Zigzag, OR. 1 inch or less for
  locations around 1000 ft, including Sandy, OR.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Have a winter emergency driving kit readily available. Common items
to include: flashlight, batteries, blankets, a shovel, water,
non-perishable food items, tire chains, etc.
