.SYNOPSIS...
Steady snow turns to showers across Mount Rainier National Park
this afternoon. Widespread showers continue with isolated
thunderstorms possible into early Thursday. Drier but cool
conditions then follow late this week, with another weak frontal
system approaching during the weekend.

.IMPACTS...
Stormy weather Wednesday and Thursday will create difficult
mountaineering conditions near the summit, with local blizzard-
like conditions, strong winds, and near zero visibility. A high
level of skill and experience in alpine terrain, including use of
GPS, is recommended for navigation and camping in these
conditions.

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM PDT THIS EVENING...

.WEDNESDAY...Partly sunny until late afternoon. A chance of snow
in the morning, then snow showers and a slight chance of
thunderstorms in the afternoon. Snow may be heavy at times in the
afternoon. Snow accumulation near Paradise of 2 to 6 inches. Snow
level near 1500 feet.
.WEDNESDAY NIGHT...Mostly cloudy with snow showers and a slight
chance of thunderstorms in the evening, then mostly cloudy with a
slight chance of snow after midnight. Snow may be heavy at times
in the evening. Snow accumulation near Paradise of 3 to 5 inches.
Total snow accumulation near Paradise 5 to 11 inches. Snow level
near 1500 feet.
.THURSDAY...Mostly sunny. A slight chance of snow in the morning,
then a chance of rain and snow in the afternoon. Snow level near
2500 feet in the afternoon.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...Mostly cloudy. A chance of rain and snow in the
evening, then a slight chance of snow after midnight. Snow level
near 2500 feet.
.FRIDAY...Mostly sunny. Freezing level near 2500 feet increasing
to 5000 feet in the afternoon.
