Northwest winds may be light after the initial passage of the cold front, but will begin to strengthen and become gusty beyond 0300 local time Thursday as cold air surges south across the North Central and Central Montana. There is a 100% chance that gusts exceed 25 mph by the late morning to early afternoon hours, with a 55% chance that gusts exceed 40 mph.
