Sinlaku is moving north-northwest at 5 mph. It is expected to make a slight turn toward the north with a slight increase in forward speed through Thursday. Typhoon Sinlaku is pulling away north-northwestward from Tinian and Saipan and will begin to move through the northern CNMI just west of Alamagan, Pagan, and Agrihan, through the latter half of the week, making a gradual turn toward the north, and then northeast starting Thursday. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to 125 mph. Sinlaku is forecast to continue weakening through the next few days as it moves through the northern CNMI. Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to 75 miles. Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to 265 miles.
