DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 700 PM CHST...0900 UTC...the center of Typhoon Sinlaku was
located near Latitude 16.2 degrees North and Longitude 144.8 degrees
East. Sinlaku is moving northwest at 6 mph. It is expected to make a
turn toward the north with little change in forward speed through
Thursday. Typhoon Sinlaku continues to pull away northwestward from
Tinian and Saipan and will begin to move through the northern CNMI
just west of Alamagan, Pagan, and Agrihan, through the latter half of
the week, making a gradual turn toward the north, and then northeast
starting Thursday.

Maximum sustained winds remain at 125 mph. Sinlaku is forecast to
maintain this intensity through tonight before weakening once again
on Thursday.

Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to
75 miles. Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the
center up to 275 miles.

An intermediate advisory will be issued by the National Weather
Service at 1100 PM ChST followed by the next scheduled advisory
at 200 AM ChST early Thursday morning.
