...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central Michigan, including the following
  county, Clare.

* WHEN...Until 900 AM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 254 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain. Total rainfall of 0.5 to 1.5 inches of
    rainfall has fallen across the advisory area with additional
    rainfall of up to 2 inches. Minor flooding is ongoing or
    expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Clare, Farwell, Harrison, Lily Lake, Lake George, Five Lakes,
    Arnold Lake, Cranberry Lake, Long Lake, Dodge and Townline,
    Doc and Tom Lake, Windover Lake, Leota, Springwood Lakes,
    Temple, Bailey Lake, Elbow Lake and Eight Point Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
