At 600 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 9 nm east of The Western Lake Superior Buoy to 39 nm
west of The Upper Entrance of Portage Canal to 35 nm southeast of Oak
Point, moving east at 60 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
The Western Lake Superior Buoy.

At 609 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 12 nm south of Grand
Portage Marina, or 13 nm southeast of Horseshoe Bay And Safe Harbor,
moving northeast at 50 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.

...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...

  Fire Island Inlet to Montauk Point NY out 60 NM...

At 618 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from 24 nm southwest of Buoy 44017 to
22 nm east of Buoy 44025, moving south at 25 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
