In 1990, thunderstorms developed from West Texas to Western Arkansas late in the afternoon and evening. Baseball sized hail hammered parts of the Central Red River in Silo Oklahoma and near Capps Corner Texas, which is 80 miles northwest of Dallas. In 1921, Silver Lake Colorado, located around 25 miles northwest of Boulder, was most definitely snowed under when a historic, and obviously late season, winter storm overwhelmed the resort with nearly 6.5 feet of snow. This set a 24-hour record for the United States. Overall, 87 inches, 7.25 feet, were measured from this historic winter storm. && In 1994, a blizzard struck Hawaii; of course, not at sea level. The blizzard closed roads above 10,000 feet on Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa for 2 days. $$ Auto 688 NOUS41 KAKQ 151133 PNSAKQ MDZ021>025-NCZ012>017-030>032-102-VAZ048-060>062-064>069-075>090- 092-093-095>100-509>525-152345- Public Information Statement National Weather Service Wakefield VA 733 AM EDT Wed Apr 15 2026 ...PUBLIC INFORMATION STATEMENT...
