East of the low, breezy southerly winds were common while northerly winds were impacting extreme northwest Kansas. Early morning temperatures ranged from the lower 70s in eastern Kansas to the mid 40s in parts of northwest Kansas. Another mild day is expected with above normal temperatures. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to impact eastern Kansas this afternoon while dry and windy conditions will result in elevated fire weather conditions in much of central and western Kansas. Afternoon highs will range from the 70s in northwest Kansas to around 90 in central Kansas. Showers and storms, some severe will impact eastern Kansas this evening and tonight.
