Large hail, damaging winds, and torrential rainfall accompanied the strongest activity. The rest of the state remained dry and mostly sunny, with late afternoon temperatures in the 70s and 80s. Thunderstorms will impact far southeast Kansas for a few hours this evening, with dry weather the rest of the night statewide. Patchy fog is possible later tonight over generally the southeast quarter of the state. Forecast low temperatures range from near 60 degrees over far southeast Kansas, to 30s over far western Kansas. Warm and breezy weather will prevail Thursday, with forecast high temperatures in the 80s statewide. Along the International Border look for lows mainly in the 20s and lower 30s. Chances for mixed precipitation remain mostly in the Southern Prairie Provinces of Canada, but may drop into portions of northeast Montana and northern North Dakota. A weather disturbance will bring widespread precipitation chances to the region Thursday and Friday, along with much colder temperatures and windy conditions to end the work week. We dry out for the upcoming weekend, with temperatures trending back warmer Sunday into early next week. $$
