A few storms may be strong to severe through the early overnight hours, with the primary threat being locally damaging winds which could down trees and power lines. Lows will range from the upper 50s across the Northern Tier, to the mid 60s across southern PA. A lull in shower/thunderstorm activity is expected Thursday morning, with another round of warm and active weather expected later in the afternoon. A few of these storms may be strong to severe, primarily across western PA, with damaging winds remaining the primary hazard. These storms are expected to weaken as they progress eastward across central and eastern Pennsylvania later in the evening and overnight hours. Another lull is expected Friday through early Saturday while temperatures remain above average, with another chance for showers/storms later Saturday as a cold front moves across the Eastern US. Temperatures will trend cooler during the start of next week, with drier weather expected except for a few lake- effect and upslope rain/snow showers over the Allegheny Plateau. $$
