Sinlaku's forward has slowed over the past few hours and is nearly stationary according to radar, moving west-north west at 3 mph, and will likely pass near or over Tinian and Saipan over the next few hours. It is expected to make a slight turn toward the northwest with a slight increase in forward speed through Wednesday night as it begins to pass through the northern CNMI just west of the islands of Alamagan, Pagan, and Agrihan, through the latter half of the week. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to 150 mph. Sinlaku is forecast to weaken through Wednesday. Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to 75 miles. Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to 265 miles.
