DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...the center of Typhoon Sinlaku was
located near Latitude 16.5 degrees North and Longitude
144.5 degrees East. Sinlaku is moving northwest at 5 mph. It is
expected to make a turn toward the north with a slight increase
in forward speed through Friday. Typhoon Sinlaku continues to pull
away from Tinian and Saipan and has begun to move through the
northern CNMI just west of Alamagan, Pagan, and Agrihan which will
continue through Friday.

Maximum sustained winds remain at 125 mph. Sinlaku is forecast to
briefly intensify this morning and then begin weakening tonight.

Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to
105 miles. Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the
center up to 290 miles to the northeast and up to 255 miles
elsewhere.

Service at 500 AM ChST followed by the next scheduled advisory at
800 AM ChST.
