CHANGES WITH THIS ADVISORY -------------------------- The Tropical Storm Warning and Typhoon Watch have been cancelled for northern coastal waters of Guam. WATCHES AND WARNINGS -------------------- A Tropical Storm Warning and Typhoon Watch are no longer in effect for the northern coastal waters of Guam. A Typhoon Warning remains in effect for Rota, Tinian, Saipan, Alamagan, Pagan, and Agrihan in the CNMI and the adjacent coastal waters. SUMMARY OF 100 PM CHST...0300 UTC...INFORMATION ----------------------------------------------- Location...17.4N 144.5E About 90 miles west of Alamagan About 95 miles west-southwest of Pagan About 120 miles southwest of Agrihan About 175 miles north-northwest of Saipan About 180 miles north-northwest of Tinian About 230 miles north-northwest of Rota About 270 miles north of Guam Maximum sustained winds...115 mph Present movement...north...355 degrees at 4 mph DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 100 PM CHST...0300 UTC...the center of Typhoon Sinlaku was located near Latitude 17.4 degrees North and Longitude 144.5 degrees East. Sinlaku is moving north at around 4 mph. It is expected to make a turn toward the north-northeast with a slight increase in forward speed through Friday. Typhoon Sinlaku continues to pull away from Tinian and Saipan and has begun to move through the northern CNMI just west of Alamagan, Pagan, and Agrihan, which will continue through Friday as it turns more to the northeast and passes north of Agrihan. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to 115 mph. Sinlaku is forecast to weaken through tonight. Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to 90 miles. Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to 290 miles to the northeast and up to 255 miles elsewhere.
