Coastal Waters east of Puerto Rico, around Vieques, and around and just north of Culebra and Saint John... At 119 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from southwestern St. Croix to about 15 NM NE of St. Croix. These thunderstorms were nearly stationary. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
