The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Lake Ontario from Nine Mile Point to Point Peninsula...

* Until 1100 AM EDT.

* At 1015 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 nm southwest
  of Stony Point, or 13 nm northwest of Mexico Bay, moving east at 45
  knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and large hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in
           structural damage.

* Locations impacted include...
  Pillar Point, Black River Bay, Mexico Bay, Southwick Beach, Sackets
  Harbor, North Pond, Henderson Harbor, Westcott Beach, Selkirk
  Beach, Stony Point, and Sandy Island Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
Wind gusts to 40 knots, large hail, high waves, dangerous lightning,
and heavy rain are possible with this storm.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
