* Flash Flood Warning for...
  South Central Fayette County in south central Texas...
  Eastern Gonzales County in south central Texas...
  Northwestern Lavaca County in south central Texas...

* Until 315 PM CDT.

* At 1209 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
  1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of
  1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
  already occurring.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Schulenburg, Flatonia, Moulton, Engle, Komensky, Moravia, High
  Hill, Newtonville and Dubina.

An LCRA gauge in Moulton reported 2.34" of rain in the last hour.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

  Point Piedras Blancas to Point Sal westward out to 10 NM...
  Waters from Pt. Sal to Santa Cruz Island CA and westward 60 nm
  including San Miguel and Santa Rosa Islands...

* Until 1115 AM PDT.

* At 1039 AM PDT, a shower capable of producing waterspouts was
  located near Point Sal, or 18 nm south of Pismo Beach, moving east
  at 20 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small
           hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can create locally hazardous seas. Small
           craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Point Sal.
