Warm and dry conditions on a south to southwest wind. Temperatures
will top out between low 70s in northwest South Dakota to mid 80s in
central South Dakota and the James valley. Winds will top out between
20 and 35 mph.

A cold front comes through late this afternoon into the evening hours
from northwest to southeast. Winds shift to north or northwest and
increase to 35 to 40 mph. Little moisture with this system, with
best chances for a quarter inch up in north central South Dakota
while central and northeast South Dakota will only get a few
hundredths to a tenth or two.

Temperatures will end up dropping into the 20s and 30s overnight,
with little recovery for Friday, and cool weather lasting through
the weekend.
