Central Pressure: 997 hPa Mean maximum winds to 30 knots with maximum gusts to 45 knots. The location accuracy is within 25 nautical miles. Forecast position at 0600 UTC Latitude: 10.3S Longitude: 154.1E Expect the following wind structure: Gales: No longer expected. Storm force winds: No longer expected. Hurricane force winds: No longer expected. Recent scatterometry data suggests gales associated with Ex-Tropical Cyclone Maila have eased, and are unlikely to redevelop. The latest forecast track shows Ex-Tropical Cyclone Maila taking a south southwest track towards the Louisiade Archipelago, PNG. While this is the most likely track it is possible Maila moves further north, closer to Muyua Island, or further west, closer to the D'Entrecasteaux Islands and the southeast tip of mainland PNG. Although gales are now unlikely, these areas may still experience strong winds associated with ex-Tropical Cyclone Maila. No further Special Advisories will be issued for this system.
