* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Central Quay County in east central New Mexico...
  Southeastern Harding County in northeastern New Mexico...
  East Central San Miguel County in northeastern New Mexico...

* Until 530 PM MDT.

* At 442 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 16 miles northwest
  of Tucumcari, moving east at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
           roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Mainly rural areas of Central Quay, Southeastern Harding and East
  Central San Miguel Counties.

This includes State Road 104 between Mile Markers 87 and 95.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
