Light rain showers passing through this morning before 10 am, then a mix of sun and clouds with likely more sunshine by early this afternoon. Winds will be out of the southwest today. The prescribed burn area does look like there could be some sheltering from the winds, as the field is surrounded by forest. Also, based on the predominant wind direction from the SW, with the burn being on an east aspect, the winds should be a little lighter being on the lee side of hill with higher winds likely a little further up the hill near Fox Meadow Lane. Later today, more showers and thunderstorms will start popping up across the region.
