Ground level ozone forecasts for the Charleston Tri-County Area
of South Carolina are provided by the South Carolina Department
of Environmental Services.

The Charleston National Weather Service Forecast Office, in
coordination with the South Carolina Department of Environmental
Services (SC DES) and the Charleston Area Broadcast Media, has
discontinued the daily Ground Level Ozone Forecast product,
effective immediately.

This legacy text product was issued between March 31 and September
29 each year and relayed the Air Quality Index (AQI) forecast
produced by the SC DES for the Charleston Tri-County Area (Berkeley,
Charleston and Dorchester Counties).

The daily AQI will continue to be publicly available by going
to the SC DES website:
https://des.sc.gov/programs/bureau-air-quality/air-quality-forecast

Air Quality Alerts for Ozone will continue to be issued for the
Charleston Tri-County Area and for Fine Particulates (smoke) for all
of southern South Carolina when requested to do so by the SC DES.
