The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Waters from South Santee River to Edisto Beach SC out 20 NM...

* Until 545 PM EDT.

* At 341 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located 9 NM northeast of Kiawah Reef, moving
  northeast at 50 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 34 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Jimmy Leland Tug, Bull Breakers, Capers Reef, Bulls Bay, Capers
  Island Buoy, Rattlesnake Shoal, Charleston Nearshore Reef, Joe
  Shuford Reef, Charleston Coastal Anglers, Air Force Reef,
  Charleston Sixty, Hector Reef and Cape Romain Reef.
