Flood Warning for the following rivers in Pennsylvania...

  Swatara Creek above Middletown affecting Dauphin County.

.An ice jam will cause water to infiltrate the lowlands along the
river.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING FOR AN ICE JAM IN EFFECT FROM EARLY THIS MORNING
UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.

* WHERE...Swatara Creek above Middletown.

* WHEN...From early this morning until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Minor overbank flooding begins near the
  Vine Street Bridge downstream to the Susquehanna River.
  At 12.0 feet, Both banks overflow upstream of the Vine Street
  Bridge and several basements are affected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 5:30 AM EST Monday the stage was 11.5 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 5:30 AM EST Monday was 11.8 feet.
  - Forecast...Ice jam flooding is inherently difficult to
    predict. Be prepared for rapid changes in river levels
    depending on ice jam behavior.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
