...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM PST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Southwestern Mendocino County in northwestern California...

* WHEN...Until 700 PM PST.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of Highway 1 north of Point Arena is occurring.
  It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to
  recede.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 338 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding is
    already occurring in the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Mainly rural areas of Southwestern Mendocino County near Point
    Arena, Flumeville, Stornetta, and Manchester.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and DO NOT drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
