Please refer to the Warning statement for more details. - Strong north winds moving in late tonight: Very late tonight, starting after 3 AM, a strong cold front will slice southward into our forecast area, reaching all but our southeastern-most counties by sunrise Friday. In the wake of this front, north winds will likely gust to at least 40-45 MPH for at least a few hours. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. - Strong north winds continue into Friday daytime: Moderately-strong north winds will continue through the day Friday, with sustained speeds commonly 25 to 30 MPH, and gusting up to around 40 MPH. - Sub-freezing temperatures likely this weekend: On both late Friday night into Saturday morning, and again late Saturday night into Sunday morning, at least slightly sub-freezing temperatures are likely within the majority of our forecast area. At this time, a Freeze Watch has been issued for early Saturday morning for most of our forecast area, to highlight the first of these two nights that feature potential freezes. - Almost daily fire weather concerns: Each afternoon between Saturday and Wednesday, at least near- critical fire weather conditions are forecast within at least portions of our forecast area.
