For eastern Utah and western Colorado, here is the latest weather
synopsis
An approaching cold front will send gusty surface winds across the region,
with wind advisories in place for northeast Utah and northwest Colorado.
Temperatures will surge back above normal this afternoon, exceeding 5 to 10
degrees above climatology. Rain and snow will make their way into our
northern counties this evening and spread south overnight, with some light
snow making its way to valley floors. Freeze watches remain in place for
the Central and Lower Yampa Basin, as well as the Uinta Basin Friday
morning.
