The tornado touched down on the north side of the Kalamazoo River
along 106th avenue north of Otsego. It crossed into Barry County
near Silver Lake and Lake Doster traveling East before lifting
near Hickory Corners. Widespread tree damage occurred along the
tornado path. Several large barns were heavily damaged and
multiple homes and businesses lost roofing material or were
damaged by fallen trees. Debris from one business landed on US-131
forcing it to be closed for a period of time following the
tornado.

Pockets of thunderstorm wind damage occurred just south of the
tornado path. Both Otsego and Plainwell had significant tree and
property damage as a result of thunderstorm winds south of the
tornado path. Thunderstorm damage was also found east of Hickory
Corners after the tornado dissipated.
