According to local media, a woman in her 30s entered the water after her child was caught in a rip current near the S 5th St. beach access. A bystander also attempted to rescue the individuals but was also caught in a rip current. Brevard County Fire Rescue transported both adults to a local hospital, where they later died. The child survived; their condition is unknown. A High Risk of Rip Currents was in effect at the time of the incident. && $$ WAU
