...The National Weather Service in Pendleton OR has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Washington...

  Yakima River at Umtanum affecting Kittitas County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON TO LATE THURSDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Yakima River at Umtanum.

* WHEN...From Wednesday afternoon to late Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 35.5 feet, At this level, there will be minor
  flooding in areas along the river from Teanaway to Ellensburg
  including Irene Rienhart Park in Ellensburg.


* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 4:15 PM PDT Tuesday the stage was 33.8 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 33.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 35.6 feet tomorrow
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Thursday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 35.5 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    35.2 feet on 01/31/1965.
