Critical fire weather conditions are expected for today. Relative humidity values in the low to mid teens are likely, with southwest winds gusting near 40 mph. Overnight moisture recoveries look to be poor, in the low 20% range, with continued breezy southwest winds. A cold front comes through the region Friday, but noticeable wind shifts are not expected through most of the event at the fire site. Dewpoints and relative humidity values are expected to gradually increase on Friday, but southwest winds look to remain gusty at the fire through most of the day. Light north winds eventually develop overnight Friday night.
