Afternoon highs may add another degree or two but additional significant warm up for Sunday afternoon is not expected. Winds will remain fairly steady out of the west with a slow backing to the southwest by late afternoon. Speeds should fall off quickly this evening as they become more southerly at less than 10 mph by 6-7pm. A slight increase beyond 10pm is possible as winds continue to turn to the southeast but speeds are not expected to exceed 15 mph. Lows Sunday night will again be mild, generally in the middle to upper 40s. Humidity recovery may briefly exceed 80 percent for a few hours at most near and just prior to daybreak on Monday before falling quickly again. For Monday, fire weather headlines do not include Custer County (Zone 209) at this time but similar afternoon highs as seen Sunday will promote minimum humidity falling into the lower teens once again. Winds should return to westerly by early in the day as gusts approach 20 mph for the daytime hours. These weaker winds preclude headlines at this time but further evaluation on this threat will be needed with subsequent forecasts. Winds should flip to the north late Monday evening as another frontal boundary settles through the area.
