FNUS73 KMQT 020834 FWSMQT Spot Forecast for S-212 Saw Course...Michigan DNR National Weather Service Marquette MI 434 AM EDT Thu Apr 2 2026 Forecast is based on forecast start time of 0800 CDT on April 02. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION... A low pressure lifting from the Central Plains towards northern Lake Michigan today brings in a wintry mix of mainly sleet and freezing rain during the morning hours before warmer air aloft makes its way to the sfc and transition everything over to just pure rainfall noon CDT. That being said, the sleet and freezing rain could be heavy at times this morning, with up to an inch of sleet possible as well as up to a tenth of an inch of ice possible with it before we warm above freezing. This could create very slick road conditions. Taking into account that winds from the east are looking to gust up to 35 mph today too, there may be some isolated power outages and downed tree branches as well. .REST OF TODAY...
