This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Slight tornado risk.
  Slight hail risk.
  Slight thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Elevated lightning risk.
  Limited excessive rainfall risk
  Limited non thunderstorm wind risk.

DISCUSSION...

Showers and thunderstorms are developing and moving across the
area early this morning. How quickly this development ends and
storms dissipate this morning will have different implications on
severe weather potential this afternoon into this evening.
Despite this uncertainty, the most severe potential outcome would
involve large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes if it
panned out.

Heavy rainfall associated with multiple rounds of thunderstorms
could cause localized flooding concerns. Damaging wind gusts up
to 35-40 miles per hour will be possible outside of thunderstorms
at times today into tonight as well.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Additional rounds of severe thunderstorms will be possible across
portions of the area at times again tomorrow and Friday. Flooding
may be possible in areas that receive multiple rounds of heavy
rainfall.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed today into tonight for eastern
Kansas and southwest Missouri.
