a frontal system approaches the Kenai Peninsula. East winds along
the Sterling highway will continue into this evening with the
strongest winds, around 10 mph with occasional higher gusts,
through around 8 PM AKDT before slowly diminishing tonight through
early Thursday morning. Any lingering rain showers may mix with
snow overnight; however, no accumulation is expected. Winds will
be light and variable Thursday morning becoming northerly by
Thursday afternoon. Expect clearing skies Thursday morning with no
additional precipitation.
