Another very warm summerlike day is in store with high
temperatures ranging from the mid 70s in the northern tier to the
upper 80s in the south and near 90 again around Philadelphia. Dry
and breezy conditions across south central and southeastern
portions of the Commonwealth may result in an increased threat
for wildfire spread, if any fires do develop.

Another round of active weather is expected later this afternoon.
A few thunderstorms may be strong to severe, primarily across
northern and western PA, with damaging winds being the primary
hazard. These storms are expected to weaken as they progress
eastward across central and eastern Pennsylvania later in the
evening and overnight hours.

We will see a break from the thunderstorm activity Friday and
early Saturday, with only a slight chance for showers on Friday.
Temperatures will remain above average, with another chance for
showers and storms later Saturday as a cold front moves across the
Eastern US. Temperatures will trend cooler during the start of
next week, with drier weather expected except for a few lake-
effect and upslope rain/snow showers over the Allegheny Plateau.
