.A watch remains in effect for the Elkhorn and Loup rivers
due to potential ice jam development. This heightened threat is due
to persistent warm weather. Those with interests along area rivers,
especially in low-lying areas, should remain vigilant to the
potential for rapidly rising water.

...FLOOD WATCH FOR AN ICE JAM IS CANCELLED...

The Flood Watch is cancelled for portions of east central,
northeast, and southeast Nebraska, including the following areas, in
east central Nebraska, Butler, Dodge, Douglas, Sarpy, Saunders and
Washington. In northeast Nebraska, Colfax and Cuming. In southeast
Nebraska, Cass.

A significant amount of ice moved out last night. While some ice
remains, this loss of ice overnight significantly reduces the ice
jam threat moving forward.

...FLOOD WATCH FOR AN ICE JAM NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH WEDNESDAY
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam continues to be possible.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Nebraska, including the following
  counties, Antelope, Madison, Pierce, Platte and Stanton.

* WHEN...Through Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...The formation of an ice jam could result in sudden rises
  of water, leading to a rapid flooding situation. Ice jams can
  cause water level fluctuations of 1 to 3 feet over a very short
  time period and without much notice.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - River cameras and aerial drone footage shows a good deal of
    ice remains in the Loup River and upper Elkhorn River.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
